About the race
The SKECHERS Wicked Wine Run at South River Vineyard in Geneva, Ohio combines a short running route and a tasting walk on vineyard grounds. The event offers two distance options:
- 5K run or walk
- 1K tasting walk
The venue is South River Vineyard, 6062 S River Rd W, Geneva, OH, located in Ohio’s Grand River Valley AVA. The 1K format includes three 1 oz wine tastings along the course and a fourth tasting at the finish served in a provided wine glass. The 5K option includes a complimentary wine glass with finish line wine, an event shirt, an event bib, a finisher medal, and access to the after party.
On-course support for the 5K includes two water stations and an additional water station at the finish. Packet pickup information will be posted two weeks before the event; otherwise packet pickup is offered at the venue on race day. For a fee, packets can be delivered by mail and mailed packets include automatic check-in. Participants must present ID and a QR code at pickup; packet pickup for others requires a copy of the participant’s ID showing they are 21 or older.
Additional onsite features include food trucks, merchandise, games, sampling stations, costume and dance contests, volunteer opportunities, and a spectator tasting-only ticket option that includes an etched wine glass and bracelet.
