Wicked Wine Run - South River Vineyard
The Wicked Wine Run takes place at South River Vineyard in Geneva, Ohio. This event combines running and walking with wine tasting experiences set against a scenic vineyard backdrop. Participants in the 5k event receive an event bib, a commemorative shirt, and a finisher medal. Upon crossing the finish line, runners are provided with a glass of wine. The course features two water stations, and runners start in waves based on their pace.
The 1k distance is a walk that includes three tasting stations along the route, where participants sampled different wines. A fourth tasting is provided at the finish line in a souvenir wine glass. For those who wish to do both, a combined ticket for the 5k and 1k is available.
The venue offers an after-party featuring music, food trucks, and games. Attendees often bring blankets or foldable chairs for seating. Spectators may purchase separate tasting-only tickets at the event. Additional activities include a dance contest and a costume contest where wine and branded merchandise are awarded as prizes.
