Wicked Fast Halloween 5K, 10K and Kids 1K
The event offers three timed races along Tacoma's waterfront with a focus on themed finisher items and community fundraising. Distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- Kids 1K
Both the 5K and 10K are described as flat and fast and use a single out and back layout along the Water Walk and Dune Peninsula Park. The course passes the Giant Octopus Mural and finishes near the Frank Herbert Spice Worm statue art. USATF certification numbers are provided for the 5K and 10K courses.
Registration includes a commemorative finisher medal for the 5K and 10K, a tri-blend shirt for those events (order by 9/26 to guarantee shirt and size), and a collective bib. Kids in the 1K receive a finisher ribbon. Team discounts apply at certain team sizes and late registration is available during packet pickup and on race day. A portion of proceeds supports the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the event at Ruston Waterfront Market, 5101 Yacht Club Rd, Tacoma, WA. Race-day packet pickup and gear check are available at the start area; participants are asked to bring their own bag and not to leave valuables in gear check. Timing is provided by Ready, Set…Time and photos are provided by CJ Photography. Entry fees are non-refundable, transfers are not allowed, and participants under 18 need a guardian-signed waiver.
