Event overview
The Wicked Fast Halloween run is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026 in Tacoma, Washington. The event offers three distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Kids 1K
The 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified (WA24032RMB and WA24031RMB). The course is described as flat and fast with a single out-and-back along Tacoma's waterfront and through Dune Peninsula Park. Runners pass landmarks such as the Giant Octopus Mural and a Frank Herbert Spice Worm statue.
Registration, entry and race day services
Registration opens May 15, 2026. Entry for 5K and 10K includes a finisher medal and a tri-blend shirt; Kids 1K finishers receive a ribbon. Team discounts apply for teams of 4, 10, and 15 with incremental refunds as teams grow. A portion of proceeds benefits the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County.
Packet pickup is available before race day at Central Co-Op (4502 North Pearl Street, Tacoma) and there is day-of pickup at the start area. Parking is free at Point Ruston and Dune Peninsula Park. Gear check, medical services, race timing, and post-race food and beverages are provided. Results and race photos are posted online after the event. Age-group ribbons are awarded to the top five in standard age brackets and overall male and female awards are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
