Western Pleasure Snowshoe Roundup
The Western Pleasure Snowshoe Roundup is the 13th anniversary snowshoe event at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch in Sandpoint, Idaho. The event offers both competitive and recreational options on courses that combine hills, meadows, forest, and open areas. Courses may be machine groomed, snowshoe groomed, or a combination.
There are separate categories for recreational participants and racers. The new recreational category is untimed, self start, and has access to aid stations and finisher awards but not placement awards. Placement awards are given to the first three male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K. All finishers in all races receive finisher awards. Awards are individually handcrafted and reflect the event’s ranch theme.

Racers 12 and under race for free. A limited number of children’s snowshoes will be available for Buckaroo racers at no charge on a first come basis. Participants age 7 and older must register online; the Buckaroo race can be registered on race morning in the lodge. Hot soup and beverages will be available for purchase in the lodge. Racing snowshoe size requirements for competitive racers follow the United States Snowshoe Association standard and do not apply to recreation categories.
