About the race
Westcountry Ultra Flat 50 is a point-to-point 50-mile ultramarathon organized by Albion Running. The event starts in Taunton and finishes at West Somerset College in Minehead. The route has a flat first half and a more undulating second half, with roughly 2,100 feet of elevation change, and is ideal for first-time 50-mile runners, or friends who want to run together and have a great day out.
The course runs along the Taunton to Bridgwater Canal Path, then the River Parrett Trail, Steart Marshes, and past Hinkley Point, Kilve Beach, turning inland toward the Quantocks and Minehead. Six cupless aid stations, a 14-hour cut-off, and finishers receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
