West Virginia Trilogy
The West Virginia Trilogy is a three day stage race held October 9 to 11, 2026, on and around Spruce Knob at the Experience Learning - Spruce Knob Mountain Campus in Circleville, West Virginia. The event combines mountain trail sections and meadow running across consecutive days.
Distances and stages:
- Full Trilogy: 94.1 miles total across three stages.
- 50k stage on day one.
- 50 mile stage on day two.
- 13.1 mile half marathon on day three.
- Run For The Hills 5k on day three through the meadows.
Routes include hilly, mountain trail terrain. The half marathon is explicitly described as hilly and provides a shorter taste of mountain trail running. The 50k and 50 mile options focus on longer mountain distances and are presented as hill tests.
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes August 16, 2026. Published entry fees are: Full Trilogy $240.00, Individual 50k $100.00, Individual 50 mile $120.00, Individual half marathon $60.00, and 5k $40.00.
