West Valley Vet Run
The West Valley Vet Run takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, Arizona (3000 N Dysart Rd, 85392).
The event includes the following distances:
- 5K timed race
- 1 Mile run/walk
One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the EMCC Veterans Scholarship Fund to help student veterans overcome financial barriers to higher education.
The City of Avondale Police and Fire Departments will be on site with interactive family activities. Frios will provide free popsicles to the first 100 guests, and Modern Grind will offer free coffee and treats.
Registration opens August 12, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. Event fees listed by the organizer are $40 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile. A discount is offered for Veterans and Military participants; registrants must select the checkbox that certifies veteran or military status.
Packet pick up is scheduled at EMCC the day before the event in Parking Lot A and there is on-site packet pick up on race day with a posted cutoff. The first 400 registrants will receive a finisher's medal. Pets are not allowed. Race placements and a Veterans ceremony will take place at Estrella North Plaza.
