Werewolf Chase Free Fun Run, Fort Wayne
The Werewolf Chase Free Fun Run is a free community event scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana at 1004 Cass St. The event uses the downtown Fort Wayne trail network and follows a roughly 3-mile course that participants try to complete before being tagged by costumed chasers.
Participants receive flag football belts provided by the event crew. Runners, walkers and strollers all start together and are given a five minute head start; werewolf chasers begin pursuit after that head start. At the finish participants hand in their belts; those who retain both flags receive candy and a commemorative medal.
The course is wheelchair friendly. There is no aid station on course; water and snacks are provided at the start and finish area. The event includes awards and prizes, including recognition for fastest and best dressed runners and age group awards for children in the following groups: 7 and under, 8 to 11, 12 to 17, and 18 and over.
Packet pickup takes place at Fort Wayne Outfitters & Bike Depot the day before the main event. The UAW Local 2209 Community Service Committee will collect non-perishable food donations at the event to support local food lockers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
