The Werewolf Chase Free Fun Run is scheduled for October 17, 2026 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Packet pickup is available the day before the run and race instructions are provided on event day.
Course and format
The event uses a downtown Fort Wayne trail network and features a chase format. Participants wear flag football belts provided by the event staff. Runners, walkers and strollers begin with a head start, then designated chasers begin pursuit. The objective is to complete the 3-mile course without having a flag removed. The course is described as wheelchair friendly. There is no aid station on the course; water and snacks are provided at the start/finish area. Participants return belts at the finish.
Prizes and community activities
Finishers who retain both flags receive candy and a commemorative medal. Awards include prizes for fastest and best dressed, plus age group awards for the following divisions: 7 and under; 8-11; 12-17; and 18 and over. The UAW Local 2209 Community Service Committee will collect non-perishable food donations at the event for local food lockers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
