Werewolf Chase Free Fun Run
The Werewolf Chase is a free fun run in Fort Wayne, Indiana, held on October 17, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Fort Wayne Outfitters, 1004 Cass St, Fort Wayne, IN 46808, and follows the downtown trail network.
Participants follow a roughly 3.1 miles course and wear flag football belts supplied by the Getting Miles crew. Runners, walkers and strollers begin with a five minute head start before the werewolf chasers are released. The objective is to complete the course without having a flag removed.
The course is wheelchair friendly. There is no aid station on the course; water and snacks are provided at the start and finish area. At the finish, participants return their belts and those who still have both flags receive candy and a commemorative fun medal.
Awards include prizes for fastest and best dressed runners and age group awards for top youth finishers in the following groups: 7 and under, 8 to 11, 12 to 17, and 18 and over. Packet pickup is available the day before at Fort Wayne Outfitters and on the event day. The UAW Local 2209 Community Service Committee will collect non perishable food donations to support local food lockers and families in need.
