Waushara Run for Hope 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk
The event in Wautoma, Wisconsin includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile stroll held as part of a suicide prevention and awareness effort. Electronic timing is used for the timed events. Awards are given overall to male and female finishers in both distances, and age group awards are offered for the 5K only.
All participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal; a T-shirt is guaranteed for those who register by May 1. A pet registration option is available for the 5K; the pet registration fee includes a finisher medal for the pet and a pet scarf. Nonregistered pets, pets in the 1 mile event, and strollers are allowed but are asked to start behind other runners and walkers.
A virtual participation option is offered; virtual entrants must submit timing and complete the virtual race within the event window specified by the organizers. Online registration, a price increase on May 1, and same-day registration with cash or check are noted in the event information. Refunds are not available.
Shirts and medals can be picked up May 18 through May 21 at the Public Health Office, 380 S Townline Rd, Wautoma. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
