Watford Mencap 10K, 5K and 1K Fun Run
Watford Mencap holds an annual Bank Holiday running event in Cassiobury Park, Watford. The event includes three distances and raises funds to support Watford Mencap’s programs and services for people with learning disabilities. All proceeds from the event are directed to the organisation’s local services.

The 1K and 5K are described as accessible. The event takes place in Cassiobury Park where a Runner’s Village is located; the pedestrian entrance is at the junction of Cassiobury Park Avenue and Shepherd’s Road. The Runner’s Village is reached by turning right at the water fountain and walking a short way past the Bowling Club. For participants arriving by car, public parking is available at The Gade Car Park, Watford WD18 0JX, and it is approximately a 15 minute walk to Cassiobury Park. Parking restrictions apply on roads surrounding the park and traffic wardens will be monitoring nearby roads.
As the event falls on May 4th, there is a prize category for the Best Dressed Star Wars themed runner. Participants may set up a JustGiving page or request a sponsorship form for fundraising. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
