Waterfall City Half Marathon 2026 : event summary
The Waterfall City Half Marathon in 2026 is organised by the Waterfall City Athletics Club and includes multiple timed race distances. Online entries close on 5 September 2026; no late entries on race day will be accepted.

- 21.1 km (half marathon)
The event is held under the rules of ASA and CGA and any regulations in place on the day. All athletes participate at their own risk and must be medically fit to take part. Licensed athletes in the 10 km and 21.1 km must wear club colours and their 2026 license number visible on the upper body; temporary licensed athletes must wear plain clothing with the temporary license displayed. Age eligibility is specified by distance: 9 years for the 5 km, 14 years for the 10 km, and 16 years for the 21.1 km.
Timing will be provided by Chamberlain’s Timekeeping powered by FinishTime using a disposable chip attached to the race number; all distances are timed mat to mat. Waterpoints will be available approximately every 3 kilometres. Race pack collection is scheduled at STADIO Higher Education, Midrand Waterfall Campus on 10 and 11 September 2026, and at Mall of Africa, Waterfall City Park on the race day morning.
