Event Overview
The Waterberg Race 3-in-1 is a road running event held at the Fumani Game Lodge in Mookgophong, Limpopo. The competition follows the rules of Athletics South Africa (ASA) and Limpopo Athletics (LIMA). Participants run through the lodge area, with specific sections of the course featuring gravel roads.
Available race distances include:
- 73.3 km (exclusive to runners with permanent licenses)
- 42.2 km (Comrades Marathon qualifier)
- 21.1 km
- 10 km (conducted on a gravel road through the lodge)
Registration and Regulations
Participants in the 73.3 km distance must register online in advance, as no late entries are accepted for this category. Online registration for the 42.2 km and 21.1 km events also closes prior to the race day, though late entries for these distances and the 10 km run can be processed at the venue for an additional administration fee.
Athletes are required to wear their club colors and official 2026 license numbers on both the front and back of their vests. Temporary licenses are available for those without a permanent ASA license, except for the 73.3 km category. The race uses a timing device attached to the race number, which must remain unaltered throughout the duration of the event.

The event is hosted at the Fumani Game Lodge, which provides on-site accommodation options for participants. Food stalls are available at the race venue for runners and spectators.
