Event Overview
The Warwick Pentathrun is a two-day running event held in late May in Warwick, Queensland. It consists of five separate races across a weekend, with a combined total distance of 42.2 km. The event describes itself with the motto "Do one, do all or as many as you can."
Race Schedule and Distances
The races are:
- Race 1: A 21.1 km half marathon from Warwick to Yangan on Saturday morning. It includes a mixture of road and dirt surfaces. A post-race breakfast and bus transport back to Warwick are provided.
- Race 2: A 4.5 km cross-country race at the Morgan Park Warwick Horse Trials grounds on Saturday.
- Race 3: A 5 km road race on Saturday afternoon, described as fast and flat, held within 10 km of Warwick town centre.
- Race 4: A 10 km hill run at Queen Mary Falls in Killarney on Sunday morning. The course features a 5 km descent followed by a 5 km ascent. A post-race breakfast is provided.
- Race 5: A 1 mile (1600 m) sprint on the Warwick Racecourse track on Sunday. There are separate races for participants 15 & Under and an Open category.
Venues and Logistics
Race headquarters and registration for 2026 will be at the Warwick RSL. Bib collection and late registration are available on the Friday evening before the event. The event is wheelchair-accessible by prior arrangement. Bus transport is offered for some races, including to the start of the half marathon and back from the Queen Mary Falls run. Post-race presentations are held on Saturday and Sunday.
Weekend Features
The event includes social elements such as post-race breakfasts after the half marathon and the 10 km hill run. Catering and coffee are available at the final race venue on Sunday.
