Warrior Crucible : Loves Park, IL
The Warrior Crucible is a 24 hour fundraising event held annually on Labor Day weekend in Loves Park, Illinois, to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The event groups three fitness challenges and a combined option called the Warrior Crucible.
The program includes these events:
- Warrior 5k
- Warrior Ruck (10, 20 or 30 mile options)
- Warrior Basic Challenge (4 to 5 hour team fitness challenge)
- Warrior Crucible (complete all three events during the 24 hour period)
Participants receive one t-shirt and an individual Warrior Foundation patch for each event completed. Those who complete all three events during the 24 hour event earn the exclusive Crucible patch. Events are held at Peak Sports Club and nearby facilities in Loves Park.
Registration fees are listed per event, with a combined Crucible fee available. There is no race day registration. The event operates rain or shine; the organizer may cancel for adverse weather or other emergencies. The organizer’s stated refund policy disallows refunds or deferrals for registered participants.
All funds raised benefit children fighting cancer in the local community. The event sequence includes the ruck, the 5k, and the Basic Challenge as part of the Crucible format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
