Event Overview
The War Eagle Run Fest is an annual multi-day running event held at Auburn University. Now in its sixth year, the event is organized through a collaboration between FRESHJUNKIE Racing, Auburn-Opelika Tourism, and the university. Participants have the opportunity to run through the campus and experience university landmarks before concluding their race inside the stadium.
Course Details
The routes for the longer distances lead participants throughout the Auburn University campus. All races culminate in a unique finish on the 50-yard line inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. The available distances include:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- Kids Mile (1 Mile)
The Kids Mile is specifically designed for participants aged 12 years and younger. Both the Half Marathon and the 5K start outside Jordan-Hare Stadium and tour the campus grounds before entering the stadium for the finish.
Post-Race Activities
Participants receive a commemorative medal upon completing their respective distances. After the races, a post-race tailgate takes place outside the stadium. This gathering includes music and food, modeled after traditional local fan celebrations. The event is open to students, staff, alumni, and the general public.
