Walking Tall 50/25K is a trail race at Big Hill Pond State Park in Pocahontas, TN (1435 John Howell Rd) on October 18, 2025. Distances offered:

The event is run as a not-for-profit. One hundred percent of proceeds go to charity, with 90% to Big Hill Pond and 10% to the Tennessee Park Rangers Association. Year-round camping is available at the park.
Course, aid, and rules
Courses are almost entirely single-track trail with some park road sections and notable features that include a fire tower and a swamp boardwalk over half a mile long. The fire tower is optional for a valid finish; runners who climb to the top and get their bib punched receive a special challenge coin. Top-3 placements and course records require climbing to the tower top. The event is rated 3 for elevation change and 3 for surface.

- 25K full aid at miles 6.5, 9.6, 12.5
- 50K full aid at miles 15.5 (drop bag), 18.4, 23.0, 26.1, 27.5
Time limits: the 50K has a 9-hour cut and the 25K has an 8-hour cut; this equates to about a 17 minute 14 second per mile average for the 50K.
