Walking Off The War Within Darwin 2026
Walking Off The War Within in Darwin is a community event on 16 August 2026 at East Point Reserve. Emergency service personnel, defence force personnel and members of the public will walk together to raise awareness about mental health and reduce stigma associated with mental illness, post-traumatic stress disorder and suicide.
The event offers an optional endurance challenge and more casual participation. The course is a scenic 5 km loop at East Point Reserve. Facilities and arrangements include activities for children, a BBQ lunch and merchandise available for purchase such as T-shirt and cap. There is ample parking around the area.
Registration is available at no cost or for amounts of $10, $25 or a nominated donation. Ticket income is used to cover event running costs; at the end of the event all proceeds will be donated to a local charitable organisation that works in the fields of veteran and first responder mental health and suicide prevention. Refunds are not provided.
