Wags & Whiskers 5K & Furry Fun Run
This community running event takes place on 12/12/2026 at Breckenridge City Park, 601 E. Walker, Breckenridge, TX 76424. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to participate alongside their humans. All proceeds benefit the Stephens County Humane Society and will be used for food, housing, medical care, and transport for animals in Breckenridge and Stephens County.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 mile Fun Run
Pre-registration fees are listed as $30.00 for participants 18 and over, $20.00 for participants 17 and under, and $15.00 for the Fun Run for all ages. Race day registration carries an additional $5.00 added to the above fees. Entries received by November 12, 2025 are guaranteed a soft-sided cooler.
Awards are given by age division for male and female categories. Age divisions include 12 and under, 13 to 17, 18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division and to the top overall male and female runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
