About the race
The Volksrust Marathon event on 21 November 2026 takes place at Volksrust High School in Volksrust, Mpumalanga. The event offers multiple distances on an out-and-back route over undulating tar road with water tables supplied every 2 km. It is listed as a Comrades qualifier and a Two Oceans qualifier.

Entries are pre-entry only and fees vary by distance, with listed prices in ZAR. Race pack collection is held at Volksrust High School on the day before and on race day. ASA rules apply and there is no chip timing; results require chip timing. Temporary licences are available for a fee. Walkers are welcome. Earphones are not permitted. Refreshments will be available along the route or at the venue.
Prize medals are awarded with gold for the first five men and ladies, silver for positions six to fifteen, and bronze for official finishers. The event is professionally timed by BoutTime and organised by BoutTime Premium. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
