Vivicittá Spring Half Marathon : 42nd edition
The Telekom Vivicittá Félmaraton is a two-day running event held in Budapest on April 10 and 11, 2027. The race village and start/finish area are located in a green, flowered park on Margitsziget. The event offers several distances, including AIMS-certified options.
Distances
- 7 km
- 10 km
- 21 km (half marathon)
Saturday focuses on shorter, festival-style races suited to less experienced runners. Sunday features the longer distances: the half marathon can be run individually or by teams of two or three in a relay format, and there is a separate 10 km race.
The routes run along city sights and cross multiple bridges over the Danube, offering views of the Buda Castle area, the Pest panorama, and the national parliament building. The event combines sport with community elements: participants can support charitable causes at registration, live bands and spectators line parts of the course, and finishers receive a commemorative medal and event shirt. In 2026 the weekend drew more than 38,000 participants and attendees from over 100 countries. Family and nonrunners can use the exhibitor tents and on-site programs while races take place.
