Honoring Captain Buzzy

Captain Andersen served for 22 years at the Cortland City Fire Department, including 15 years as a Fire Investigator. He was an avid runner and canoeist who helped coordinate and certify many races and initiated the Cortland Pumpkin Run. The run aims to celebrate his life and spread awareness about health risks firefighters face.

Course and Location

The 5 km course begins near Courthouse Park. It weaves through the hills of Cortland and the local campus, continues to just before Pashlay, then turns around and heads back towards the start line. Street parking is available nearby.
