ViK 5K
The ViK 5K takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Wantage, New Jersey. The listed location is High Point State Park, with an event address of 1480 State Route 23, Wantage, NJ 07461. The entry price is $30. The event supports the future healthcare professionals of Vernon Township High School. A map will be provided at a later date. No free shirts can be given away after 3/6/2026; the shirt order is finalized.
Course and logistics
The course is on pavement and includes many hills. Parking is at the Lake Marcia Boathouse parking lot, the main lot on the right side of the road about 3/4 mile after exiting Route 23. The race start is in the dumpster lot near a trail head (marked as a green dot on the map). Runners proceed left onto Park Road, continue to the High Point monument, loop back down, and enter the monument parking lot for one lap in the direction of traffic. Runners stay on the left side of the road using cones or yard signs as markers, descend and turn left onto Scenic Drive, run Scenic Drive to the end, then turn right onto the main road from Scenic Drive. Runners cross Park Road with a volunteer guiding them, continue on the left side of Park Road back toward the start, and turn left into the start/finish area. On-course water will be supplied.
