Vienna City Marathon
The Vienna City Marathon is a major sports event held in the capital of Austria, often referred to as the world capital of music. The course leads participants past both modern and classical architectural highlights of the city, with a finish line located in the heart of Vienna.
Participants can choose from a wide variety of distances and formats:
- Marathon: The classic 42.195 km distance.
- Half Marathon: A 21.1 km course through the Viennese scenery.
- Staffelmarathon: A relay marathon for teams of family, friends, or colleagues.
- 10K: A 10 km run starting at the Reichsbrücke with coffee and Viennese pastries at the finish.
- 5K: A 5 km lap around the historic Ringstraße for runners and walkers.
- The Daily Mile 1600 & 800: Youth and children's races over 1600 m and 800 m.
- Prinzessinnen- & Prinzenlauf: A costume run for children aged 3 to 6.
- Inclusion Run: A barrier-free event focused on community and movement.
The event secondary activities include the Vienna Sports World expo and an After Race Party. Support services such as running doctors, wardrobe facilities, and hotel deals are available for participants.
