Event overview

The Victoria Day Royal Race is a Victoria Day running event held at High Park in Toronto. The event offers two race options:

  • 5 km
  • 2 km fun run

Prizes are awarded to top finishers and an awards ceremony is held after the races. Same-day race kit pick-up is required; kits include a bib number and a timing chip. Refunds are available up to six months before the event. Registration transfers are permitted up to seven days before the event. A secure bag check will be available near the start/finish area.

Course and logistics

The start and finish are at Colborne Lodge Drive and Spring Road in High Park. The route runs through scenic areas of High Park, along the lakeshore, and includes a loop through the Greenhouse; the course is described as fast and flat. Aid stations at the start/finish will provide water and light snacks, and portable toilets will be available. Medical staff will be on site. For safety reasons, dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course. There is no race day parking inside High Park; parking is suggested along High Park Ave, Quebec Ave and Pacific Ave. High Park subway station is a short walk from the start. The event is organized by Road Race Running Events and will take place rain or shine, with the possibility of delay or cancellation in severe weather.
