VFW Run to Remember R2R
The VFW Run to Remember R2R is a distance running and walking event held at North Central Park in Laredo, Texas. The event features a 5 km (5000 meters) course for participants to complete. This athletic gathering provides options for both runners and walkers, with specific registration categories available for individuals over and under the age of 17.
Participants are organized into various age divisions for both men and women:
- 5 km run
- 5 km walk
The age categories start at 10 and under and continue through to 60-69 for both genders, with an additional category for men aged 70 and over. Awards are provided for top performers, including medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Additionally, trophies are presented to the overall male and female winners of the event.
The event takes place at 10202 International Boulevard. Registration includes a commemorative shirt for those who sign up by the specific guarantee date of May 10th. Participants who register after this date are not guaranteed a shirt or a specific size. Same-day registration is available on the morning of the event at the park.
