Vertical Slam Ultimate Challenge : Beatton River Valley
The Vertical Slam Ultimate Challenge takes place on the Beatton River Valley Viewpoint Trail in Cecil Lake, British Columbia, on June 6, 2026. The event is a fundraiser for local school food programs. Registration fees are non refundable.
Racing occurs on trail terrain with a rolling profile and notable elevation change that varies by distance. There are no official time cutoffs; some participants run while others hike.
Distances offered
- 5 km about 150 meters elevation gain
- 10 km about 450 meters elevation gain
- 21 km close to 1000 meters elevation gain
For 2026 the course uses a reversed configuration on some sections: the roughly 10 km route follows the half that the 21 km normally uses in its second half, and the 21 km finishes on the original 10 km route.
