Vernal Equinox 48 24 12 8 Hour Run - Batavia, Ohio
Vernal Equinox is held April 2 to 4, 2027 at Majestic Farm in Batavia, Ohio. The event uses a 2‑mile loop that runs through wooded trails, meadows, and sections of gravel road, with a large barn located at the loop’s start and finish. Typical ultrarunning aid station fare is provided, including some hot items such as soup, grilled cheese, and coffee, plus vegan options. The race is cupless; each participant receives a reusable cup and no paper cups will be provided.

Free clean horse stalls are available to reserve for staging, storage, or napping; stalls may be shared and closer stalls are prioritized for longer distance entrants. RV hookups are available for a fee. Race swag includes Rabbit long sleeve shirts and custom finisher awards handmade in Ohio; belt buckles are awarded for select mileage achievements. A sponsor is offering cash prizes for breaking the 24 hour and 48 hour course records. Part of the event proceeds will be donated to Project Congo.
The race includes an Athletes With Disability division with two categories, visually impaired and mobility impaired. Tethers, prosthetics, crutches, braces, or poles may be permitted as described in the AWD guidelines; the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Pacers are restricted and allowed only after the shorter day events conclude for the longer duration races. The event follows a no refund policy and specifies a tiered deferral schedule.
