Venice Beach Half Marathon
The Venice Beach Half Marathon takes place in Venice Beach, California. The event route leads participants through various local landmarks, including the Venice Canals, Abbot Kinney Blvd, Muscle Beach, and the Venice Beach Boardwalk.
Participants can choose between two main distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5k
Structured training programs are available through a partnership with Sound Running. These programs last between 8 and 12 weeks for both distances. Optional track workouts are also provided to complement the training schedules.
The event serves as a fundraiser for local schools in the Venice Beach, Mar Vista, and Marina del Rey areas. Proceeds and donations benefit several institutions, including Beethoven Elementary, Venice High School, and Mark Twain Middle School. Participants have the option to join fundraising teams or donate during the registration process.
Race weekend includes community collaborations with local vendors along Abbot Kinney. Runners who show their race bib on specified dates can access discounts at various neighborhood shops, restaurants, and wellness centers. Packet pickup is available in advance of the event.
