Veluwse Ultra Trail (VUT100)
The Veluwse Ultra Trail (VUT100) offers running options of 50 km, 75 km, and 100 km on routes that start and finish at Landgoedhotel Stakenberg in Elspeet, in the Veluwe region of the Netherlands. The 100 km route consists of two unique 50 km loops (north and south). The 75 km route combines one 25 km section with one 50 km loop and returns to basecamp between loops. Both 50 km loops can be run individually as a 50 km ultra.
Route data and services:
- GPX files are provided for all routes.
- Finishers of the ultras automatically receive a UTMB index.
- Drop bags are available: for 100 km participants at the halfway return to basecamp, and for 75 km participants after 25 km.
- Aid stations are present but no cups are supplied; participants must bring a race cup or flask.
Terrain and effort indicators:
- 50 km north: 250D+ elevation.
- 75 km: 355D+ elevation.
- 100 km: 410D+ elevation.
Participants are expected to be self-sufficient for stretches of about 10–15 km and to carry essential safety and navigation items such as a charged phone, a race vest with at least 1 liter of fluids, basic first aid, an emergency blanket, a rain jacket, sufficient nutrition, and navigation with a power bank when using a phone. A visible bib number is required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
