About the race
The VechtdalTrail takes place on 31 October 2026 in Ommen and uses trails on land of Staatsbosbeheer, Landschap Overijssel and Landgoed Junne. The event starts and finishes at Atletiekvereniging ACO-Van Elderen, Sportpark Westbroek, Sportlaan 1, Ommen.
Available distances and entry details:
- 60 km 'Sahara' - 31 euro, max 100
- 42 km 'VechtdalTrail Marathon' - 29 euro, max 100
- 30 km 'Beerze Bulten' - 26 euro, max 200
- 22 km 'Junne' - 23 euro, max 225
- 15 km 'Ommerbos' - 20 euro, max 225
Registration is by pre-entry only and closes on 24 October 2026 or earlier when fields are full. Entries become final on 1 August 2026; refunds can be requested before that date. Transfers of start places are possible; the organization states it does not charge transfer fees.
The event is cup free. Participants must carry a collapsible cup or hydration system; aid stations will only fill personal cups or water bladders. Time registration uses a chip in the bib and net times are recorded; the bib is personalised and may be kept. Minimum pace rules apply (8 minutes per kilometre) and the 60 km course has an overall time limit of eight hours. There are cut-off times at some aid stations; participants arriving after a cut-off may be required to stop or be returned to the start and lose organisation support.
