Vaughan Walk & Run For Lyme
The event takes place at Magnotta Winery, 271 Chrislea Road, Vaughan, Ontario, on May 31, 2026. It offers looped walk and run routes that start and finish at the winery site.

- 5 km walk and run
- 10 km run (two loops)
All net proceeds go to the G. Magnotta Foundation for Vector-Borne Diseases to benefit Canada’s first translational Lyme Disease Research Lab at the University of Guelph. The foundation focuses on understanding Lyme bacteria and improving testing and treatment methods.
Participants receive a custom event t-shirt, a loot bag, and two Magnotta sample drink tickets that may be used for wine, beer, cider or de-alcoholized wines; alcoholic samples require legal drinking age. Coffee is provided by Saint Jimmy’s Coffee and lunch by Pizzaville. The event includes music and youth entertainment. Fundraising incentives include a recovery treatment for certain fundraising levels and entry into a gift card draw for higher fundraising tiers.
Practical notes: parking is available at the start and finish, the event is not timed, it runs rain or shine, comfortable shoes are recommended, the event is a stand up format so seating should be brought if required, and pets are welcome. Roads are not closed and participants must follow the Highway Traffic Act. Registration fees are not eligible for CRA tax receipts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
