2026 Vaughan Walk & Run For Lyme
The event offers a walk and a run with 5 km and 10 km routes that start and finish at Magnotta Winery, 271 Chrislea Road, Vaughan, Ontario. It takes place on May 31, 2026, and all net proceeds go to the G. Magnotta Foundation for Vector-Borne Diseases to benefit the translational Lyme Disease Research Lab at the University of Guelph.
The organizer notes this is not a timed race. Registration includes a custom event t-shirt and a participant loot bag. Coffee is provided by Saint Jimmy’s Coffee, lunch is provided by Pizzaville, and registration includes two Magnotta sample drink tickets valid for wine, beer, cider or de-alcoholized wines. The event features music and youth entertainment. Fundraising rewards include a recovery treatment for participants who raise at least CA$75 and entry into a draw for a CA$500 Magnotta gift card for those who raise CA$150 or more.
Practical information provided: parking at the start and finish, the event runs rain or shine, comfortable shoes are recommended, the event is standing only so bring seating if needed, pets are welcome, and roads are not closed so the Highway Traffic Act applies.
