Placement awards are given for top finishers: first through third place male and female in the 5k for ages 13 and older receive placement medals and raffle tickets for the Sips and Snacks raffle; first through third place male and female in the 1 mile for ages 12 and under receive Ugly Sweater placement medals and additional raffle tickets. The event coincides with downtown evening festivities, including Sips and Snacks and the Merry and Bright Night portion of the Holidays Are Sweeter Van Meter festival.
