About the race
HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB is a multi-day trail running event held in Vielha - Val d'Aran in the Pyrenees from 7 to 11 July 2027. The 2027 program comprises seven mountain races across varied distances and elevation profiles, organised as the event's sixth edition. For the fifth consecutive year the event is designated a European Major of the UTMB World Series.
The event awards direct qualification places to UTMB Mont-Blanc 2028 finals: the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers in the VDA, CDH and PDA races earn direct access. Organisers plan to allocate around 225 direct entries to the finals in total. In addition, all finishers at Val d'Aran receive double Running Stones, which affects lottery selection chances.
In 2026 the event attracted more than 7,000 runners from 90 nationalities. The listed races with distance and elevation are:
- VDA: 163 km, 10000 m+
- CDH: 110 km, 6400 m+
- TDL: 75 km, 5100 m+
- PDA: 55 km, 3300 m+
- EXP: 32 km, 2100 m+
- SKY 18K PROMESAS: 18 km, 900 m+
- SKY Baqueira Beret: 18 km, 900 m+
- VIELHA 10K: 10 km, 500 m+
