About the race
The Utah Prostate Cancer Run and Walk is a community fundraising event set for October 10, 2026 at Wheeler Historic Farm in Murray, Utah. The event supports prostate cancer research, patient assistance, and early detection through the Granger Medical Community Foundation and is hosted by Summit Urology and Granger Medical Clinic.
Participants may choose from these distances:
- 5K timed run and walk on a two-lap scenic route
- 1 mile Family Walk paved and wheelchair accessible; kids free, strollers welcome
The 5K course mixes paved and unpaved trails and passes pastures, orchards, wetlands along Little Cottonwood Creek, and historic farm buildings such as the Dairy Barn and Granary. The route returns to the main event area near the Sponsor Village and finishes beside the Pavilion.
Race-day programming emphasizes an 1980s theme with a DJ, a live throwback band, costume contests, a kids Pac-Man dash, air-guitar activities, a survivor ceremony, awards, and a silent auction. The 1 mile route allows leashed dogs on course; wheelchair access and ADA parking are available at the venue. Free on-site parking and local public transit options serve Wheeler Historic Farm. Team participation and fundraising are featured elements of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
