Huddle Park Golf Course - Urban Event #5
This event is the seventh in an urban orienteering series and takes place at Huddle Park Golf Course in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The venue address is 121 Club St, Linksfield, Johannesburg, 2192, South Africa. Parking is available on the grass area above the Fives futbol fields; GPS parking coordinates are provided.
Orienteering uses a detailed map to navigate across open fields and along paths through wooded areas to locate a series of controls. Participants choose their own routes between controls. Courses can be completed individually or as part of a group and may be approached competitively or recreationally. Entries in the listed classes include hire of an SI timing device.
Course options
- Men's course: approximately 4.5 km, 100 m climb
- Women's course: approximately 3 km, 90 m climb
- Explorer course: approximately 2 km, 35 m climb
Some classes support team entries. Team sizes range from 2 to 4 participants per team.
