Urban Legend 5K
The Urban Legend 5K is an evening running event located in Helotes, Texas, with the course starting at Victoria’s Black Swan Inn. The event takes place on an out-and-back course as the sun sets, creating a themed atmosphere centered around local urban legends, folklore, and mysteries. The venue is recognized as a historic location in San Antonio.

The course includes interactive elements where participants may encounter surprises or scares during their run. The evening concludes with a post-race gathering. Costumes inspired by supernatural themes and urban legends are encouraged.
Participants are categorized by age for recognition. The event offers categories for adults and specific registration types for children. Children aged 4 to 10 may participate with a paid adult, while children aged 3 and under participate for free. Awards are provided for the overall male and female winners, overall masters (40+) male and female winners, and the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 1-20 to 80+. A special award is also given for the best costume.
Registration fees increase as the event date approaches. There is a policy of no refunds or deferrals for personal decisions, injuries, or scheduling conflicts.
