Uprise Festival 5k
The Uprise Festival 5k is a chip timed road race held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, that benefits the Uprise Festival. The course is a 5 kilometer out-and-back road course and is USATF certified. A course map is available.
The event takes place at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds, 10131 Possum Hollow Rd, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Timing is provided by Timber Hill Timing. The finish is chip timed and results use gun time for awards. Runners must wear a timing chip on their shoe and a bib number on their chest; failure to do so may result in disqualification. The organizer uses backup measures when timing systems encounter problems and posts verified results as they become available.
Awards include the first three overall male and female finishers and age group awards. Age group awards are given in these bands for both female and male categories: 19 and under; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 and over. Course records are listed for male, female, masters male, and masters female categories.
Entry fees vary by registration date: March 1 to August 31 is $35 with T shirts available at registration; September 1 to September 11 is $40 with T shirt size not guaranteed; event day entry is $45.
