UltraTrax Wachusett
UltraTrax Wachusett is a summit-driven, timed trail event on Wachusett Mountain in Westminster, MA. The route follows ski slopes and wooded single-track, climbing through pine and hardwood forest and then onto more exposed upper-mountain terrain with long views across Central Massachusetts and, on clear days, to Boston's skyline. The course includes steady climbs, rocky pitches, and winding forest trails and will be very well marked.
Participants may choose one of four distances:
- 7 miles
- 14 miles
- 21 miles
- 28 miles
The event is not a race but is timed; walkers and runners have up to 10 hours to complete the course. Level 3 and Level 4 participants will qualify to earn the UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. Finishers receive a custom t-shirt and a velcro patch. Optional weighted vests or rucks (10, 20, or 35 lb) can be used to unlock bonus finisher swag. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event; registrations made after 8/15/26 require in-person bib pickup, and a friend or relative may pick up a bib on a participant's behalf. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase after the event.
