About the race
Letecká stovka is a mountain ultramarathon and long-distance hike held in the Považský Inovec and Strážovské vrchy mountains. The main race covers a certified course of 106 km with +3590 m of elevation gain and is organized by the non-profit o.z. SLOVAK ULTRA TRAIL. The event is scheduled for 6–7 March 2027 and is included in the calendar of the Slovak Ultratrail League and the ITRA National League; the course is ITRA certified and the race is a qualifying event for the Western States Endurance Run 2028 for finishers meeting the 21 hour requirement.
Categories are Men, Women, Men 50+ and Women 50+ (age by year of the race). Entry fee is 90 EUR per person and the field is limited to a maximum of 250 participants. Discounts on the entry fee apply based on the ITRA performance index with specified thresholds for men and women.
Race administration and services based in Trenčín use ARENA Ostrov as presentation and finish location. Participant presentation takes place on the day before and the morning of the race at the venue; during presentation runners receive their race number, may receive a GPS tracker if available, and can have mandatory equipment checked. Dropbags (max 3 kg) can be transported to the aid station at K4 Duchonka (approx. 62 km) and will be returned to Trenčín after that station closes.
The route includes six staffed aid stations with food and drink, and organizers provide route notes and advisories about muddy or technically difficult sections. A detailed mandatory equipment list is published and includes items such as an emergency blanket, headlamp, charged phone, waterproof jacket with hood, reflective vest, and at least 1 L of liquid plus a reusable cup or bottle.
