Ultratrail Fränkische Schweiz
The Ultratrail Fränkische Schweiz is a multi-distance trail running event held in the Fränkische Schweiz region with start and central location at the market square in Ebermannstadt. The sixth edition is scheduled for 23 and 24 April 2027. Registration for the 2027 event opens on 3 October 2026. The official race documents and detailed course information will be published in the weeks before the event.
The routes run over varied Mittelgebirge terrain and include marked features such as rock formations, caves, medieval castles, river crossings, many singletrail sections, numerous climbs and stair sections. Distinct course offerings in 2027 are:
- 15 km / 580 hm
- 33 km / 1460 hm
- 66 km / 2750 hm
- 100 km / 3930 hm
The 66 km route is the original Longtrail and remains a core offering. The 100 km Ultratrail and the 15 km Shorttrail are new additions for 2027. The event calendar also lists community run dates and regional training runs in the months before the race, with locations across the region.
