Ultra Trail Serra da Freita 2027 : Arouca, Portugal
The event in Arouca is a multi-race trail running meeting organized by Confraria Trotamontes with the support of Câmara de Arouca. Courses run through the Serra da Freita and cross the municipalities of Arouca, Vale de Cambra and São Pedro do Sul. Routes use paths, trails, levadas, riverbeds, forest roads and public roads; participants must take care when crossing or using public roads.
The edition includes these distances:
- Elite Trail 100 km individual, about 101 km and +6900 m elevation gain
- Elite 100 km teams (teams of 4, relay system)
- Ultra Trail 65 km, about 66 km and +4200 m elevation gain
- Trail 31 km, about 31 km and +1700 m elevation gain
- Mini-Trail 19 km, about 19 km and +1040 m elevation gain
- Walk 12 km, non-competitive
All races have control points and aid stations positioned along the routes; final feed and meal are provided for longer distances. Mandatory equipment is specified for each race and may be checked; missing items carry penalties. Entry limits are defined per distance. The event includes an ExpoTrail and provides insurance, technical T-shirt, refreshments and post-race facilities for registered participants.
