The Thames Bridges Trek is a walking event in London scheduled for Sat 12 Sept 2026. The route follows the River Thames from Putney Bridge east towards Tower Bridge and finishes in Southwark Park. The main distance is a flat 25 km route that crosses 16 bridges. A shorter 10 km option starts at The Oval Cricket Ground.
- 25 km - Putney Bridge to Tower Bridge, crosses 16 bridges

Route, logistics and support
Rest stops are provided about every 12.5 km, with a major mid-point stop at The Oval Cricket Ground offering pastries, fruit, snacks and hot drinks. The finish includes a picnic, a finisher’s medal and a t-shirt; participants may also receive a glass of fizz. The route is waymarked with arrows and distance markers and includes GPS tracking and chip timing for progress monitoring.
Event support includes covered rest areas with toilets, medical teams, podiatrists and massage services. The challenge is walking/trekking only - running or jogging is not permitted. There is no official parking at start, rest or finish locations; public transport links are noted for the 25 km start (Putney Bridge), 10 km start (Oval or Vauxhall) and finish (Bermondsey, Canada Water, Surrey Quays).
