Thames Bridges Trek
This walking event follows the River Thames through London. It is scheduled for Saturday, 12 September 2026.
25 km Bridges Trek
The main route covers 25 km and crosses 16 historic bridges. It starts at Putney Bridge and finishes at Tower Bridge, passing landmarks and views of the city skyline. The route is flat as it follows the river. A halfway rest stop at The Oval Cricket Ground provides snacks and drinks. The finish line celebration is in Southwark Park. The start location is Bishops Park, Fulham.
10 km Bridges Trek
A shorter 10 km option starts at The Oval Cricket Ground. This route is also flat and walking-only. It crosses Millennium Bridge, Southwark Bridge, London Bridge, and Tower Bridge before finishing in Southwark Park.
Event Details
The event is for walking or trekking only; running or jogging is not allowed. Participants can take part as individuals or as part of a team. There is no official parking; access is via public transport. The nearest tube stations are Putney Bridge for the 25 km start, and Oval or Vauxhall for the 10 km start.
Support and Amenities
The route is signed and there is a "Trek Masters" support team. Participants can expect food and drink at rest stops, including a finishers picnic. Medical and massage teams are available. Finishers receive a medal and a T-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
