About the Event
The Two Hollows Monster Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on trails in the Kennedy State Forest between Virgil and Harford, New York. The course uses well-maintained trails in the western section of the forest, located between Daisy Hollow and Babcock Hollow. The terrain includes long, rolling single track trails, some twists and turns, and several hills. One challenging hill is located in the last two miles of each 13.1-mile loop. The route passes through shady hemlock groves and fern-carpeted hardwood forests, with some long views.
The event features a unique, staggered start system based on age and gender, providing earlier start times for older participants, women, and nonbinary runners. The course has a compact footprint with aid stations approximately every 3 to 4 miles. The event is a cupless race; runners must carry their own hydration system.

- Marathon: Approximately 4,400 feet of elevation gain.
- Half Marathon: Approximately 2,200 feet of elevation gain.
