The Two Hollows Monster Marathon and Half Marathon is scheduled for August 30, 2026 in Virgil, NY. Distances offered:

The event uses age- and gender-based staggered start times and includes a nonbinary gender category. Individual head starts are determined by the World Masters Athletics age-graded tables. Registration opens January 1, 2026.
Course and logistics
Races take place on well-maintained trails in the western section of Kennedy State Forest between Virgil and Harford, between Daisy Hollow and Babcock Hollow. The terrain includes long, rolling single track, twists and turns, and several challenging hills, including a notable hill in the last two miles of each 13.1-mile loop. Runners pass through hemlock groves and fern-carpeted hardwood forest and encounter a few long views.
The marathon route has about 4,400 feet of elevation gain; the half marathon has about 2,200 feet. The course has a compact footprint, aid stations approximately every 3 to 4 miles, and generous cutoffs. This is a cupless event; all participants must carry a personal hydration system.
