Two Hollows Monster Marathon and Half Marathon
The Two Hollows Monster is a trail marathon and half marathon held on well maintained single track in the western section of Kennedy State Forest between Virgil and Harford, NY. The route runs between Daisy Hollow and Babcock Hollow and passes hemlock groves, fern‑carpeted hardwood forest, and occasional long views.
The course is a double out and back. Each 13.1 mile loop contains rolling terrain, twists, and several sustained hills, including a notable climb in the last two miles of each loop. Elevation gain is about 2,200 feet for the half marathon and about 4,400 feet for the full marathon.

- Marathon - 26.2 miles, about 4,400 feet elevation gain
- Half marathon - 13.1 miles, about 2,200 feet elevation gain
The event uses age and gender based staggered head starts determined by World Masters Athletics age graded tables; a nonbinary category is included. Aid stations are located roughly every 3 to 4 miles and the race is cupless, so runners must carry a personal hydration system. Port a potties are available near the start and finish. Registration is online only; there is no same day or in person registration. Awards include a participation award for all finishers and awards for the top five in each distance.
