TVL Freedom Run
The TVL Freedom Run is a free group run that begins and ends at the flagpole at 301 Parkway Dr in Trussville, Alabama. The event is presented as a 5 km group run and is hosted through the Trecho Walk Jog Run group at FBCTrussville. There is no registration fee.
The gathering begins with a five minute devotional and a short prayer before participants start together. Attendees are invited to wear patriotic attire as the event marks America's 250th celebration. Course routing is marked with arrows and a water station will be available along the route. A clock will be visible for participants, but the event does not use an official race timer.
The first ten male and female finishers will receive an American Flag medal. After the run, popsicles and Capri Sun drinks will be available. This event is run as a sign-in group activity; formal registration is not required though optional sign-up information may be used for planning purposes.
