Turkey Trot in The Dalles
The Turkey Trot is a charity run and walk held on November 26, 2026 at Lewis and Clark Festival Park in The Dalles, Oregon. The event is organized with support from Columbia Gorge Toyota and Columbia Gorge Honda. All funds raised will be donated to a local cause; the sponsors will match the first $5,000 and the specific recipient will be announced in spring. In 2025 the event raised $17,611 for the Columbia Gorge Food Bank.
The event offers both a 5K and a 1 mile run or walk. Children 12 and under may participate free of charge. Group registration options labeled Medium and Large are available for businesses, groups, or organizations.

Race timing is recorded for the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5K; a photo of the top three will be taken and first place prizes are awarded to the top male and female. Standard registration fee for listed events is $20. Registration opens June 26, 2026 and closes November 23, 2026. Runner bib pickup is held the day before at Columbia Gorge Honda in The Dalles.
The event program includes family oriented activities such as face painting, music, costume contests, photos, fire pits, and attendees may bring dogs. The event notes that the big Lady will be on location dressed for the occasion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
