Turkey Trot for a Cure 5K Walk/Run for Alzheimer's
The Turkey Trot for a Cure is the 16th annual 5K Walk/Run held on November 7, 2026 at the Morehead Conference Center in Morehead, Kentucky. The event takes place during National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness month and focuses on raising awareness and local support for Alzheimer’s disease.
Proceeds benefit the Sisters of Notre Dame Eastern Kentucky Foundation Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Fund, with funds remaining in the service region to support local families and caregivers. The event program includes a silent auction, a health fair, refreshments, and educational material about Alzheimer’s disease. A slideshow presentation will honor loved ones.
Race packets will include a commemorative shirt and a race bib. Registration opens August 28, 2026 and closes October 24, 2026; the listed registration fee is $25. Local businesses may sponsor the event and have their logo featured on the back of race shirts.
