Turkey Trot 5K - Williamsburg, KY
The 19th annual Turkey Trot is a community 5K run/walk held in downtown Williamsburg, Kentucky on November 26, 2026 (Thanksgiving Day). The event follows a roughly 5K (3.1 miles) course through the streets of historic Williamsburg and is presented as a run/walk.
All proceeds benefit the non-profit Williamsburg Shop With a Cop program, which provides underprivileged children an opportunity to purchase items from their Christmas wish lists. The organizer states that every $100 raised allows another child to purchase Christmas gifts; donations are also accepted.
Two registration categories are listed: adult registration with a fee of $20 and student registration with a fee of $15. Registration opens on October 12, 2026 and closes on November 22, 2026.
Awards include medals and homemade desserts for overall male and female finishers, and for the top three finishers in each male and female age group. Age groups are divided in five-year increments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
