Event Overview
The Annual Turkey Triathlon is a reverse sprint distance triathlon featuring a 5k run, a 10k bike, and a 300-yard swim. It is organized by Weber State Campus Recreation and circles the Weber State Campus, offering views of the Wasatch Front.
Race Details
The event includes the main triathlon and a separate 5K Turkey Trot. Participants are encouraged to wear festive turkey attire. All participants receive a t-shirt and a medal upon entry. The start line and transition area is at Swenson Gym, Parking Lot A7 on the Weber State Campus.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the two days prior to the event and on race day. Race day includes a pre-race meeting at 8:30 AM. The race starts at 9:00 AM with a wave start:
- Tri Men at 9:00 AM.
- Tri Women and Team Tri at 9:05 AM.
- 5K and 1-mile participants at 9:10 AM.
Parking is available on campus. Participants in the bike portion must bring a helmet. Bike racks in the transition area are numbered according to bib numbers.
Course Information
The run course is one loop, and the bike course is two loops. Participants must obey all traffic laws, including stopping for campus traffic lights. The swim takes place in a pool with a specific one-way lane format.
Post-Race
Awards and a raffle are held after the race. Awards for the 5K Trot begin around 10:00 AM, and triathlon awards begin around 11:00 AM. Family-friendly activities are available during the wait. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
