Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Cypress, TX
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Cypress, Texas is a memorial 5-kilometer event on 09/19/2026 that honors Stephen Siller and those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and supports current and former first responders and military personnel. The course distance is approximately 5K (3.1 miles) and is open to runners and walkers.
Participants receive a race-day T-shirt; registering by 08/20/2026 is recommended to guarantee shirt availability. Day-of registration and packet pick-up are offered the morning of the event outside the John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center at 9950 Katy Hockley Road, Cypress, TX 77493. An additional packet pick-up date and location will be scheduled prior to the event.
The event is not officially timed. Awards emphasize participants who run in firefighter gear, police or military attire to reflect the event’s memorial purpose. Runners estimating a pace faster than 6 minutes per mile will be seeded in the front corral. Bibs must be displayed on the front of the outermost garment; participants without bibs will not be allowed to finish.
A water station will be available on course and at the start/finish. Emergency medical services and radio communication will be on-site. Strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks are permitted. Personal items are stored at the owner’s risk. Registrations may be transferred but are nonrefundable.
