Tukee Trot 5K

The Tukee Trot 5K is a community running event held on November 27, 2026 at Pecos Park in Phoenix, Arizona. The organizer presents this as the 6th annual Ahwatukee community event that takes place over the Thanksgiving weekend and operates as a non-profit, community volunteer event with additional proceeds and sponsor donations going to local charities.

The 5K course at Pecos Park is USATF certified to an official 3.1 miles and will be chip timed by Race Timers. The course is described as scenic and fast and suitable for spectators. The Pecos Park venue, located at the end of 48th Street along the Wild Horse Pass reservation south of Chandler Boulevard, provides parking, start and finish zones, race-day packet pickup and post-race food and refreshment areas.

Event offerings include a custom Tukee Trot T-shirt for 5K participants with an option to select no shirt for a $5 discount, a commemorative finisher medal, post-race athlete brunch items such as bagels and fruit, water and Gatorade station support, and real-time chip timing results. The one mile Kids Quail Fun Run is free with registration required and includes a finisher award; the kids run does not include a shirt unless purchased.

Age group awards are presented for Top Three Overall and within each age group. The age groups are: 12 & Under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Older.

There are two packet pickup opportunities: a pre-race pickup on November 25 at Pritchette Physical Therapy, 4730 E. Warner Road, Phoenix AZ 85044, and a race day pickup at the Pecos Park pavilion. Registration price periods listed by the organizer are $35 from Aug 1 to Sept 20, $40 from Sept 21 to Nov 1, and $45 from Nov 1 to Nov 22. A $5 youth discount applies to 5K participants 18 and under. Donations may be exchanged for a vintage Tukee Trot pint glass and support the Kyrene Foundation and Phoenix Parks special programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
