TRYROX in the Six
TRYROX is a Hyrox simulation held at F45 Training Long Branch TO in Toronto (3773 Lake Shore Boulevard West, Toronto, ON M8W 1R1). The event reproduces a Hyrox-style format using 6 of the 8 official Hyrox stations plus running segments, with overall distances and repetition counts at roughly three quarters of the full Hyrox amounts. Participants start in waves separated for youth and adult groups.
The event offers multiple competition formats: solo entries for men and women, pairs (teams of two, mixed or single-gender), and a team relay for teams of three. The team relay includes an extra bike erg station; each team member completes two stations and two runs individually, then the team completes one lap together and finishes by sharing the wallballs.
A youth program called TRYROX YOUNGSTARS runs alongside the main event and is divided into four age categories: 9 and under (parent runs with), 10-11 (parent runs with), 12-13 (parent on site with option to run), and 14-16 (solo run). The event is presented as an open, in-person training-style competition for Hyrox athletes preparing for Hyrox Toronto in October and for those trying a Hyrox-style format.
Additional practical details provided by the organizer include free parking, an in-person format, an overall event duration listed as nine hours, and a no-refunds policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
